All things must come to an end.

This week sees the end of ‘Great Moments in Popular Music’ at SNAP Galleries in London. This has been my first major solo show in London and has had a fantastic response, I’m really proud of every piece in the show. Many thanks to all who have visited SNAP galleries in London.

What's this, McKee ripping off Banksy? Well...

On a previous post I asked people for their recollections of festival gigging and the overriding response was the memory of being covered in urine, lobbed by punters in the crowd. How was I going to interpret this without it being nasty?

The answer, parody and Banksy's flower thrower was ideal. I just turned the Burberry masked casual into a ponytailed AC/DC fan. Though I hear that the Arctic Monkeys' Manchester cricket ground gig a few years back was a very drenching experience.

Great Labels of Popular Music

One of the contradictions in my minimal approach to painting are my record shop images and the detail I put into the sleeves. I suppose I don't want to pay short shrift to classic icon imagery that we've all grown up with and the roll they have played in our lives.
